Twinned with Kinyambu Library in Kenya

We have a new buddy, Kinyambu Library, in Kenya

We are now twinned with Kinyambu Library in Kenya through the Online Centre Network with the Good Things Foundation. We are all very excited about our new buddy Library and look forward to getting to know them. Yesterday our Creative Writing class wrote a poem for the Library which will be taken to Nairobi on Friday this week:

Postcard from Sheffield

Today when the sun is shining in Kinyambu,

all the people in Sheffield are shivering,

snow is coating the pavements, the roofs like cotton fields,

and snowflakes are playing with our hair and settling on the bare branches of the trees.

Meanwhile we are sitting together in Learn for Life,

wrapped up against the cold in the warmth of our shared goal,

of boosting our friendship into the future,

by creating this poem for you.
