Sai has been a student then volunteer at Learn for Life Enterprise for 3 years! He’s helped many people, has always been reliable and is a great friend. Today we say good bye and good luck to him as he sets off to Durham University to start his degree. We will miss you Sai and hope to see you very soon!

Good Things Foundation have been filming at Learn for Life today for their new English My Way video. Earlier in the week they interviewed Hayley and today they filmed a couple of classes. We look forward to seeing the completed video!

This course, created by Google, will help you to find out and understand the opportunities of the digital world and the Internet from a job/company/business perspective.
Having these basic skills and knowledge in your background is essential in today’s world and are important to get a job or to create your own business.

How to set up a website for selling products, how to use Facebook to promote products and keep in contact with customers, how advertisement works in a search engine like Google, which are the new ways to find, engage and retain customers, how to measure every action taken on the Internet…are only a few examples of the interesting and useful topics in this course.

Financial Inclusion Project

Money Advice Service (MAS) Financial Inclusion Project Working in partnership with Toynbee Hall and the University of Sheffield, Good Things Foundation (funded by the Money Advice Service) are undertaking a research project that aims to support 720 individuals to improve their financial capability during 2017.

The project seeks to test the following question: The ability to transact online can reduce the poverty premium. Are individuals receiving financial capability support better able to transact online if they are also supported to undertake a live transaction online?

Learn for Life is a delivery partner for the project and will be running money management courses throughout 2017.
