It was lovely to be at the launch of ‘Discover: Our Objects, Our Stories’ at Weston Park Museum.
This exhibition is co-curated with learners, staff and ambassadors who participated in the 2024 Discover course from the University of Sheffield alongside external partners, Museums Sheffield and Learn for Life Enterprise!
It showcases the aims of the Discover course, which uses a creative approach focusing on participants’ own objects as well as museum collections to engage learners and build confidence. The course uses creative writing as a way of introducing students to academic writing.
You can visit the exhibition this month at Weston Park Museum and view and read about our chosen objects.
