Lord Mayor and Mayoress visit

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Sheffield to Learn for Life. The Lord Mayor and Mayoress met some of our students and talked to them about Sheffield, their jobs, experiences and answered questions. Everyone found it very interesting and enjoyable, thank you for coming to see us!

Tour of the General Cemetery

Today we had a walk, talk and tour around the General Cemetery and went to visit Samuel Holberry’s grave (prominent member of the Chartist movement in Sheffield and the UK). Thank you to Martin for sharing lots of local history, everyone found it very interesting! #communitylearning #adulteducation #refugeeswelcome #localhistory

Community Celebration Event

We had a busy day at the Community Celebration Event today talking to people about our Digital inclusion project. It was great to meet lots of TARA representatives and community members!

Digital Inclusion Project in Sheffield

We have a new Digital Inclusion Project at Learn for Life Enterprise which is funded by Sheffield’s Housing and Neighbourhoods Service.

If you’re a Council tenant and would like support with using a computer or the internet then come and join one of our drop in sessions.

Our classes are held at venues across the city and are run by friendly, helpful Digital Champions who will help you gain the skills you need at a pace that suits you.
