As part of #FootballPeople week we have been empowering our footballers at Learn for Life. On Saturday we had a tournament inviting teams from in and around Sheffield including Doncaster Conversation Club, Cornerstone Day Centre from Manchester, Good Things Foundation, Brunsmeer Awareness, TT Electronics and DINA. The tournament was well attended, food was shared and good fun was had! The tournament was set up as a league with each team playing two games followed by the final. Learn for Life United won their first game 3 – 0, drew their 2nd game 2 -2, won the penalty shoot out and then won the final game 6 – 1 bringing the trophy (and medals) home! We are all really proud of what the team achieved showing real team working skills, confidence and determination. There are more photos from the tournament on our facebook page here.
